Collection Rental – V/H/S Launch (Cellar Rentals)

In December I was fortunate enough to speak to various people behind the scenes of the release of the horror anthology movie, V/H/S. I did a few interviews about my collecting habits and even got to see proofs of the artwork that was to be used for the release of the movie on VHS.

In addition to this, I was then approached by the event company behind the launch about renting out my collection, or at least half of it anyway. The launch was to take place on the 16th of January, a mere two days before the film was to be released.

Medusa Home Video Catalogue

There doesn’t appear to be a complete catalogue of titles for Medusa completists like myself anywhere on the internet. All of this information has been gathered by yours truly using tapes from my own collection and help from a private collectors forum.

There is a page at the very end dedicated to titles that I know are on this label but as of yet cannot work out the cat. numbers for. I will however update this page once a month with any new findings.

You will also notice that all Pegasus and New Dimension titles have also been added, and that’s down to the fact that they both, at one time or another, belonged to Medusa. Cobra Films (Nomad Riders) have recently been identified as being an off-shoot of this label too but strangely still used the MO numbering.

Rental Store Sleeves

Something that concerns me quite deeply is the idea that my daughter is destined to grow up in a world that has no video stores. She will never get that feeling of walking into your local outlet, browsing the wonderful artwork on the shelves and selecting a movie to take home for that entire weekend.

Top 25 Older Movies Seen For The First Time in 2012

With the arrival of my beautiful daughter, Erin, in mid March, watching movies on a regular basis like in previous years has become something of a dream for me. Having said that, I still managed to cram in well over 200 movies in 2012, half of which were older ones seen for the first time.
