Top 10 Favourite Movies of 2010

I’ve finally found time to create the list of my favourite movies of 2010. It’s been one of the best years in a long time for films and hopefully the list will reflect this.
My top 3 are obvious choices to many and will probably appear on most people’s top 10 lists, but they are there for a reason and that’s because they are all amazing films.

I’ve had to publish it now because I don’t think i’ll have another chance before Christmas and I wanted it up before the new year starts. The downside of this is there are still a few films left to see this year as a result of our delayed UK release dates. I hope the majority of you approve of my choices, here goes nothing…

1) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
2) Inception
3) The Social Network
4) Dogtooth
5) Catfish
6) A Prophet
7) Youth In Revolt
8) The Secret in Their Eyes
9) Let Me In
10) Four Lions

Best Film I’ve Seen All Year:

The Long Goodbye (1973)

How it’s taken me this long to see this film i’ll never know. Not only is this the best film that i’ve seen all year, i’d probably go as far as to say that it’s one of the best films i’ve ever seen. It has easily crept into my top 10 of all time, and i’m booking this in for a rewatch early next year. Who knows, this could climb the list even further. Slick and smart, this is a masterpiece in my opinion.

My Favourite Movies of 2010

Honourable Mentions of 2010 (in no particular order):

Buried, The Town, Toy Story 3, Exit Through the Gift Shop, Collapse, American: The Bill Hicks Story, Kick-Ass and Micmacs.

  1. Viva VHS

Based on what i’ve been hearing I kind of think Black Swan could sneak in there too, i’m really excited to see it. The same goes for Enter the Void, though i’m slightly more nervous about that one.
